My name is Yüksel Sezgin. I am a Professor of Political Science and Law and the Director of Syracuse University’s Pre-Law Program in Europe. I am pleased to announce that applications are now open for Summer 2026.
This 6-credit program offers an outstanding opportunity for undergraduates who are considering law school. Hosted at Syracuse University’s Center in Strasbourg, France, the program also includes travel to the Netherlands to meet with justices at the International Criminal Court, the International Court of Justice, as well as attendance at hearings of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
Students will study domestic, international, and comparative law; gain practical skills such as briefing cases—essential for law school success; and receive guidance on preparing strong law school applications. They will also meet with lawyers, judges, and prosecutors to learn firsthand about practicing law in diverse legal systems.
Program details are available at http://www.prelawineurope.org. I encourage you to share this opportunity with your students and encourage them to apply. Please also let them know they are welcome to reach out to me directly with any questions.
Spots are limited, so early applications are strongly recommended.
