DTB AgriTrade Summer Internship

Passionate about modern agriculture? DTB AgriTrade is offering a 2026 summer internship through the Yeutter Institute. DTB AgriTrade is a specialized Washington, D.C.-based consulting firm that helps food and agriculture organizations deal with international trade policy. DTB AgriTrade’s trade policy experts unapologetically support free trade, science-based innovation, and risk-based regulation because we believe these ideas are the best way to support producers, conserve our environment, and maximize food availability and quality for people around the world. DTB AgriTrade is looking for an intern that is passionate about modern agriculture, wants to connect with government officials about trade policy topics and is pursuing a career in international trade policy.

An ideal intern would:
• Want to connect with government officials about trade policy topics
• Be passionate about modern agriculture
• Pursuing career options in international trade policy
• Have a desire to explore Washington, D.C.!

Steve Nelson Yeutter Institute International Trade Internship Award

Interested in international trade and agriculture? Apply to intern in the heart of the trade policy community in Washington, D.C. at the Washington International Trade Association (WITA). Gain experience with trade policy issues in business, agriculture, law, NGOs, and the U.S. government. Through a Yeutter Institute partnership, the UNL student will receive a stipend that is supported by the Nebraska Farm Bureau to cover living costs as they intern full-time with WITA in Washington, D.C. over the 2026 summer.

Stipend and Timeline:
• The internship stipend is an award of $10,000 annually for full-time summer internship at WITA by the Steve Nelson Yeutter Institute International Trade Internship Award.
• WITA provides an additional $1,000 stipend.
• The stipend can be applied toward travel, living, and other expenses while in Washington, D.C.
• 10-week, full-time summer internship at WITA in Washington, D.C.
• The award was established by the Nebraska Farm Bureau to honor longtime president Steve Nelson.
Eligibility and Qualifications:
• Must be a UNL undergraduate, sophomore or above (enrolled in at least their third semester and have earned at least sophomore standing in credit hours at the time of the application).
• Must have at least one semester of study left following the summer internship

To Apply:

Students interested should email a resume and cover letter by 11:59 p.m. December 1st, 2025, to the Yeutter Institute at YeutterInstitute@unl.edu. The cover letter should include the following:
• Three main goals that you hope to accomplish or three concepts you would want to learn during your internship
• Your interests in agriculture and international trade policy
• Dates of availability for beginning internship (interns must start by June 1st, with preference for a mid to late May start date)
