Calling all students! The Animal Welfare Judging team is recruiting students for the 2023-24 Team! The team was founded in 2021 and competes each November at the AVMA’s Animal Welfare Assessment Contest (AWJAC). There are undergraduate, graduate, and veterinary student divisions.
This year’s AWJAC will be held from Friday 11/17 to Sunday 11/19 at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls (River Falls, WI). The species included in this year’s contest are laboratory rats (live assessment), farmed bison, tortoises in a zoo, and cage free laying hens.
