College is exciting, and fun and...sometimes stressful, lonely and confusing. As Fall semester kicks off it's normal to be experiencing a range of emotions from exhilaration to sadness, excitement to stress. Adjusting to roommates, getting used to being away from home (the first time or even the next time back), adjusting to classes (or not...) and managing freedom and structure...the first week at UNL can be an emotion-packed whether you are an incoming freshman or a seasoned senior. If you are feeling stressed or just need someone to talk to, there are many resources you can access including CASNR CARES , Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), the Center for Academic Success and Transition (CAST) and more! Don’t hesitate to reach out if you want someone to talk to. Your advisors are also a great resource for help. If you’re feeling stressed, lonely, or sad, don’t wait to reach out!
