IT Procurement updates

The University of Nebraska is currently navigating a new normal, with the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent remote learning experience upon all faculty, staff and students. The IT Procurement team is working remotely, but we are still working hard to keep the university running and available to help you navigate your technology purchasing, including eSHOP purchases, non-catalog purchases, eBid situations, sourcing product(s) and contract reviews and negotiations. Please contact anyone on our team through the following ways:

The eShop NeWare store continues to support various software titles for faculty and staff. Visit the IT Procurement website at: https://itprocurement.unl.edu for a catalog of available software titles.

Additionally, please use the site to request a quote for software not found in the current catalog; there is a quote form available online to fill out. If you any software questions, comments or requests we welcome your email to unlsoftware@unl.edu or call us at (402)472-4294.

As for the current software acquisition process, please engage with IT Procurement from the beginning of your project for guidance to assist your purchase.

We help facilitate the review of the terms and conditions, acquiring signatures of all parties and software compliance review. It is important that software requests are brought through IT Procurement to ensure
all appropriate subject matter experts review the purchase: (https://bf.unl.edu/policies/signature-authority).

New software is technology that has not been used by the university system in the past or currently, and must be reviewed for compliance purposes. This review is to ensure the software meets guidelines for enterprise architecture, security, accessibility, identity management and PCI. If you have any questions, please contact us at itprocurement@unl.edu and we will help you with your purchase.
