Emily Beattie joined Procurement Services in August of 2019 as the Project Coordinator. Her main duties include planning the annual Supplier Showcase, marketing for the team and communication outreach. Emily is a recent graduate, obtaining her degree in Marketing and Finance in May of 2019, but she has quickly become an integral part of the Procurement Services team.
A typical day for Emily involves working on various projects that pertain to outreach on campus, as well as trying to help educate the campus on what procurement is and why it is important for the university.
Emily’s favorite part of working for Procurement Services is the impact that procurement has on the campus. She says that the work she does is very rewarding.
Outside of work, Emily loves to craft. Her recent projects include making wreaths, and she’s thought about creating her own Etsy store to share her gift. On top of this, Emily enjoys baking, cooking and seeing her family when she has a chance to travel back to North Dakota.
Procurement Services is happy to welcome Emily to the team, and is excited to see what the future holds.
