Procurement Services kicked off a new series, PED Talks: Procurement Educational Discussions, on February 8th with over 200 attendees. The discussion, held at the Nebraska Union, featured each Procurement team member sharing about their roles and services they offer to the university campuses.
This team enables sourcing, procurement, delivery, and facilitation of products and services to sustain university operations. One attendee commented, "It was nice to hear a little bit more about the structure of the department and what changes are being made to further aid campus requests." The goal of PED Talks is to educate and empower stakeholders on purchasing policies and procedures. The Procurement Contracts Team led our March discussion. When and how to initiate a contract, what templates to use, signature authority and workflows were addressed. Participants gave valuable feedback including many requests for a "Contracts 2" session.
