Big Red Resilience and Well-being and the Public Policy Center awarded 3-year Suicide Prevention Grant!

This $300,000 grant was awarded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and impacts all UNL students and campus community members. Big Red Resilience and Well-being along with Student Affairs and Academic Affairs partners pulled together the many activities that UNL is currently doing to highlight our progress in suicide prevention and mental health promotion. Proposed outreach strategies include recruitment of students and staff to be REACH trainers and Well-being Ambassadors, distribution of printed resources, and expansion of alcohol and other drug prevention work. The Public Policy Center addressed infrastructure gaps in policies and programs and will help guide integration of well-being and suicide prevention in policies and the campus environment.
