Big Red Resilience & Well-being volunteers are trained on the nine dimensions of well-being.

Students are invited to join the Big Red Resilience & Well-being team by staffing Husker Pantry, providing money coaching at Husker Hub, leading REACH suicide prevention sessions, supporting outreach and programming efforts, and providing Well-being Coaching to peers.

Volunteer applications are currently available at resilience.unl.edu and are open until Friday, March 6. We’re looking for students who want to empower their peers to live their best lives, now and in the future! The minimum volunteer commitment is one semester.

Opportunities include:
• Husker Pantry Volunteers staff the pantry, speak to campus groups about pantry services, and assist with pantry events throughout the year.

• Money Coaches meet one-on-one with other students to help them strengthen their financial well-being and reduce their financial stress. Money Coaches may also partner with Husker Hub to offer specialized support to UNL students.

• REACH Undergraduate Trainers assist Big Red Resilience & Well-being with suicide prevention initiatives, including the delivery of REACH suicide prevention trainings for UNL students, faculty, and staff.

• Well-being Ambassadors present programs about topics related to student well-being. Well-being Ambassadors increase awareness, encourage safer behaviors, create informed decision-makers, and enhance the health and well-being of their peers.

• Well-being Coaches help other students thrive and create the life they want to live, both now and in the future. They promote the nine dimensions of well-being that provides a framework for exploration and balance.

If you have any questions about these opportunities, stop by Big Red Resilience & Well-being at 127 University Health Center, call (402) 472-8770, or email resilience@unl.edu.
