Year at UNL: Third
Majors and Minors: Global Studies, Anthropology double major with an Asian Studies minor

Why Anthropology and Global Studies?
I chose Global Studies and Anthropology because I love learning about different cultures and the many different aspects of those differing cultures. I chose an Asian Studies minor because I have always had a big interest pull towards Asia and mainly East Asia. My favorite class that I've taken at UNL were my Mandarin Chinese classes. I love learning Mandarin! It is such a challenging language, but I think it is so much fun! I think people should become a Global Studies or Anthropology major or minor because we learn so much about the world, the many different peoples of the world, and how everyone interacts! Knowing these connections is great knowledge to have.

Extra-Curricular Experiences:
I was supposed to be in Beijing, China this semester continuing my Mandarin study. That plan sadly did not happen. I am planning on going in the spring, so I hope it all works out! Fingers crossed!

What is your favorite book and why?
One of my favorite book series is The Shades of London Series by Maureen Johnson. It is a paranormal, mystery series that is full of twists and turns. I read it in 8th grade and I thought it was so fascinating!

What is your favorite movie and why?
My favorite movie is Love Actually! I am such a rom com sap and it is just so good! I love watching Hugh Grant dance around his house!

What are you post-graduation plans?
I do not have a super solid post-graduation plans, but I would love to teach English abroad. I think it would be so fun and interesting to teach in China, Korea, Japan, or Thailand. My brother taught English in China and he loved it, so I am kind of following in his footsteps.
