Virtual Conference with Nebraska Academy of Sciences
Virtual Conference with Nebraska Academy of Sciences

The Nebraska Academy of Sciences is now accepting abstracts for their virtual conference on the mornings of Friday, April 23rd and Saturday, April 24th. This is a great way for you to learn professionalization skills and showcase your work!

Students can present papers or posters prepared for courses and/or undergraduate thesis. Presentations are limited to 10 minutes, including introductions and Q and A, so, a 5-7 page paper is ideal.

When you go in to register you must select the “Anthropology” section (even if it is Global Studies or Geography content). Abstracts are 300 words maximum and are due Friday, March 19th.

All student registrations will be paid for by the School, so it's free for you to present and attend other sessions! Students must register to submit an abstract. You should NOT pay for the registration but note that UNL SGIS will be paying for them. If you submit an abstract reach out to Dr. Taylor Livingston at tlivingston3@unl.edu so that she knows to expect one from you.

Additionally, Anthropology students who present at this conference will be eligible for the McGinnis award, awarded to one undergraduate and one graduate student. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to Dr. Taylor Livingston at tlivingston3@unl.edu
