Learning Communities is hiring a peer mentor for the Second Year Edge LC for the remainder of the semester. This Learning Community Peer Mentor will need to be an upper-division student (junior or senior) who provides support for second-year students. The purpose of the Peer Mentor is to encourage and assist second-year students as they continue to navigate UNL.
Some of the typical responsibilities of mentors include:
• Supporting second-year students as they continue to navigate UNL
• Planning and leading co-curricular programs
• Building community with students in their Learning Community
• Being a team player on the Learning Community team
Mentors work an average of 6-7 hours/week and are compensated hourly at a rate of $9.40/hour. A 3.0 cumulative GPA is required to serve as a Learning Community Peer Mentor.
