For the past 6 months, Senior Political Science and Global Studies student Patrick Baker has had the opportunity to witness the state’s international reach through his internship with the International Business Development team within the state’s Department of Economic Development. As part of this internship, he is helping coordinate an event for college students to learn more about international job and internship opportunities through organizations and companies located in Nebraska.
This two-day event will take place on February 15-16 from 1:00-2:30pm on Zoom. Day One will feature representatives from the Omaha Chamber of Commerce, Nebraska’s Department of Economic Development, and the Nebraska Corn Board. Day Two will feature speakers from private companies around the state including Kawasaki, FNBO, and LI-COR. Each speaker will discuss their organization’s international reach, opportunities for students to get involved, and time will be allotted for a question-and-answer period.
