Student Invitation with APR Team - Today/Tomorrow!

SGIS
SGIS

SGIS is being reviewed as part of an Academic Program Review (APR). Such reviews usually happen every 6-7 years and are designed to assess whether the program is meeting its stated teaching, research, and service missions. As part of this process, a team composed of faculty members from outside UNL as well as those with UNL institutional knowledge visit with various constituencies to learn from them.

We invite undergraduate and graduate students to come meet with the team and share concerns and/or aspects of the program that they believe serve them well. In addition to meeting with constituencies, the APR is reviewing a massive document that we assembled that describes our program. Based on its visits with students, faculty, staff, upper administration, and on its deep read of our self-study, the team will prepare a report that outlines suggestions for improvement to SGIS. We invite students to be part of this process.

You are invited to the external APR team on Monday 3:45-4:15 in Oldfather 827.

In addition, you are also invited to attend the exit interview on Tuesday morning, 10:45-11:15 in Oldfather 1207. This is where the external team will relay a brief overview of their analysis and recommendations.

Hope you can attend!
