We are pleased to welcome Dr. Tim Turnquist as an Assistant Professor of Practice. Dr. Turnquist holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and brings a wealth of teaching and research experience focused on modern world history, human rights, and social impact initiatives.
Dr. Turnquist will be leading the development of our new Social Entrepreneurship Certificate, a program designed to equip students with the tools to create innovative solutions to social, cultural, and environmental challenges. In this role, he will also serve as the primary advisor for the certificate, oversee practicum and internship opportunities, and build partnerships with local, national, and international organizations to provide students with hands-on, applied learning experiences.
He is eager to meet each of you and collaborate across SGIS and beyond as we launch this exciting initiative. Please join me in extending a warm welcome to Dr. Turnquist. We encourage you to reach out, introduce yourselves, and connect with him about opportunities to get involved with the Social Entrepreneurship Certificate and related programming.
