
Paid archaeology internship ($20/hour, 720 hours) supporting the USFS Heritage Program in Vermont and New York. Interns conduct archaeological surveys, shovel testing, site recordation, GIS mapping, and reporting as part of a supervised field crew in rugged outdoor environments. Open to students or recent graduates (ages 18–30, or 35 for veterans) studying archaeology with field school completed; valid driver’s license required. Includes PTO, barracks housing, and eligibility to earn Public Lands Corps non‑competitive federal hiring authority. Applications close February 26, 2026.
