Why Global Studies? I always enjoyed history classes in high school, and knew that I wanted a career with an international aspect. Global studies has proven to be a great balance to all my business courses. As I freshman I took International Relations (pols 160) and it turned out to be one of the most interesting and rewarding classes in my college career. I have also never been disappointed with any of the history or geography classes I have taken at UNL. Global studies can easily be connected to many other majors, and you truly get out of it what you put in.
Tell us about your study abroad/internship experience. I spent the Spring semester of my junior year studying abroad in Poitiers, France. The program was very independent and I was fortunate enough to do a lot of traveling throughout Europe during my time there. I have made great friends and memories to last a lifetime.
What are you post-graduation plans? Although I'm not certain about what position I'm seeking, I would love to work for a company which I am passionate about and be able to give back in some way. I would also like to acquire my MBA in the future, and I plan to keep traveling and experiencing new adventures regardless of where life takes me.
