The College Ambassador team is comprised of students from a variety of majors/minors/pre-professional areas who volunteer in Undergraduate Recruitment. Their primary purpose is to staff recruitment events to establish connections with prospective students to build their interest in UNL and the College of Arts & Sciences.
This is a great role for current students who are looking for a leadership opportunity. Ambassadors regularly work on public speaking, one-on-one conversations with new people, organization, time management, and articulating their interests and experiences in a concise way that will help them down the line in job searches. We are looking for students who are passionate about their area(s) of study, and who do a great job communicating about the discipline. Because of the diversity of our prospective student population, we are looking to mirror this diversity with our Student Ambassador team (in-state/out-of-state, freshmen-senior, students of color, small town/large city, honors/non-honors, and so on).
