Immigration 101 with Define American @ UNL

On Tuesday, April 19 Define American @UNL will host Immigration 101: Educate, Support, Advocate at 5:30 PM in the Unity Room of the Jackie Gaughn Multicultural Center. This event will start with a presentation on immigration from Attorney Mindy Rush Chipman from the non-profit organization Justice for Our Neighbors. Additionally, the event will include personal testimonials from DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) recipients about their experiences at UNL. All individuals in attendance will be invited to listen, learn, and ask questions! Join us for an evening of conversation about our immigration system, ways to support our immigrant students, and opportunities to take action.

This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available. Define American @UNL is providing an open and safe place to share personal stories and learn about immigration realities in the United States, in Nebraska, and at UNL.
