Favorite book and why: Either The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupery because it reminds me to always be a kid at heart, or The Prisoner of Azkaban.

Favorite movie and why: The Sound of Music because it reminds me of my mom, or The Princess Diaries because Mia Thermopolis is an inspiration. Interestingly, Julie Andrews is a constant.

Why Global Studies?
I decided to join Global Studies because I really wanted to learn not only about the world, but different groups of people. I think it's so important to be able to interact with various people, and to be able to see and understand not only differences, but similarities. I also appreciate the flexibility in class selection. Some of my favorites have been my language and sociology courses. It's definitely beneficial to be able to choose classes from multiple fields of study, and I recommend taking advantage of that.

Education Abroad Experience:
This last summer I went for six weeks to Berlin, Germany. I absolutely loved it; there was so much to see, so much history to experience, and so many wonderful theater shows. I also benefited highly from my classes at the Humboldt Institute, which was conveniently right next to the U-Bahn. Currently, I am looking into studying in Japan next Fall.

Post-Graduation Plans:
Although I am not sure what I want to do yet, I would love to utilize the languages I am studying, especially to keep them fresh. Besides that though, I am currently looking into non-profits.
