Happy September! As you are getting acclimated to the fall semester, I want to draw your attention to the following events and deadlines:
September CAS Kick-Off
I hope you are exploring the various opportunities to engage with campus student organizations and other events within the College of Arts and Sciences. If you’re new to campus, connecting with campus resources and activities can be a daunting task.
On September 4, the Academic and Career Advising Center will be hosting the 5th Annual New Student Welcome Kick-Off for all new CAS students from 3:00pm-4:30pm in the walkway area between Oldfather Hall and Avery Hall. There will be free ice cream and t-shirts, and you will be able to mingle with CAS advisors and your fellow classmates. Interested in exploring other majors, minors, and campus opportunities? CAS advisors will be around to answer any questions you may have. I encourage you to attend, have some ice cream, and establish some connections within the College of Arts and Sciences!
I also encourage to check out other recognized student organizations on campus, especially the internationally-themed ones. Ever think about starting one? The following website can help guide you in finding the right organization:

Don’t hesitate to connect with faculty and your advisor(s) if you ever need assistance in getting involved on campus.
