This fall marks 30 years since the series of Central and Eastern European revolutions brought down the Iron Curtain in the Soviet buffer zone. Come and hear authentic witnesses who either lived through it or watched it closely from overseas: Patrice McMahon (Honors Program) on Poland, Roland Vegso (English) on Hungary, Alexander Vazansky (History) on Germany and the fall of the Berlin wall, Emira Ibrahimpasic (Global Studies) on former Yugoslavia, Hana Waisserova (Modern Languages) on former Czechoslovakia and Velvet Revolution.
With special thanks to the University Honors and Global Studies Programs, and the Departments of English, History, and Modern Languages and Literatures.
