Favorite book and why: "Where the Red Fern Grows" because I enjoy how a simple adventure with loving dogs by your side can make the greatest memories.

Favorite movie and why: The Indiana Jones movies have always been a classic. My favorite of them was "The Last Crusade". I enjoy the adventure of it all with the witty humor added in. The "historical" parts of it were always a plus as well.

Why Global Studies?
As a military brat I enjoyed getting to see the world by living in different places. At the time I was too young to truly appreciate it so I decided to make an effort to learn more about it before I go into the military. The classes I've enjoyed the most are Russian language and culture.

Study Abroad Plans: I unfortunately didn't get to study abroad this last summer, but I did get the opportunity to go to Indiana University for a two month long language workshop. I did the Russian program but they have about ten languages offered. For those taking Russian, Mandarin, and Arabic a language pledge is taken where the participants are to speak only their target language. Every day they had different cultural experiences such as dancing, cooking, and games.

Post-Graduation Plans: I am currently an Air Force ROTC cadet and I am on track to commission as an Air Force Officer. I hope to be an OSI (Office of Special Investigations) Agent, but I'd be happy with nearly any position given to me.
