Career Services will host several events in September designed to help Huskers excel in their current and future jobs.

The events include a Husker Suit-Up night at JCPenney, a #HIREME career fair preparation night, a career strategy session for international students and two university career fairs.

“Our role is to not only to facilitate connections between students and employers, but also provide career preparation so UNL students feel ready to take the next step in their professional development — whether that’s an internship or a full-time position,” said Tracy Lungrin, director of Career Services.

“By attending one of our September career fair prep events, students will feel more confident and prepared for their future careers at every level.”

Along with attending the events, Career Services encourages all students to activate and use their online Handshake accounts. Handshake is the university’s main job opportunity site for students and is frequently used by employers to recruit.
