Hardin Hall will play host to several events during the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s week-long 150th anniversary celebration of the Morrill Act, Sept. 23-29.
Hardin Hall will host “Wildlife Encounters” Tuesday evening, followed by “International Day” on Wednesday and “Backyard Farmer 60th Anniversary Celebration” on Thursday.
The additional activity is expected to cause potential issues with parking and even moving through the lobby, so plan accordingly.
• “Wildlife Encounters” will give visitors an up-close look at a variety of animals with two shows at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sept. 25. There will also be displays and informational booths, beginning at 5 p.m., and the UNL Dairy Store will be on hand serving food and ice cream.
• “International Day” will showcase education abroad opportunities, international sabbaticals and Fulbright scholars on Sept. 26 at 3-6 p.m. Foods from around the world will also be served.
• Events at Hardin Hall wrap up on Sept. 27, 6-9 p.m., with experts from the “Backyard Farmer” television show, who will answer questions and offer tips about gardening and landscaping.
