■ Ruopu Li joins SNR as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. He recently received his Ph.D. in geography from UNL. Thank you and farewell:
■ Karie Decker’s last day with SNR and the Co-op Unit was Nov. 26. She has taken the position of Assistant Division Administrator of Research, Analysis and Inventory Section for the Wildlife Division at the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. She will remain as a volunteer through June 3, 2013. Her UNL will email address will remain active for the time being.
■ Gene Guan will leave SNR on Dec. 28. He accepted a position in the Faculty of Information Engineering (FIE) at the China University of Geosciences (CUG), in Wuhan, Hubei, China.
■ Ed Harvey’s last day with SNR will be Jan. 2, 2013. He accepted the Water Resources Division Chief position in the National Park Service in Fort Collins, Colo.
■ Don Rundquist will be retire and move to the emeriti faculty as of Jan. 1. He has been a member of UNL’s faculty since 1982.
