Spring is in the air, which means the School of Natural Resources Spring Banquet is just around the corner. I hope you will join us on Saturday, April 11 at 5:30 p.m. on East Campus in the Great Plains Room of the Nebraska East Union for an evening of celebration, connection, and recognition.
This special night brings together alumni, friends, students, and faculty to celebrate the people and programs that make SNR such a vibrant community. We will present the Howard L. Wiegers Nebraska Outstanding Wildlife Conservation Award to an individual whose contributions have made a lasting difference for wildlife and conservation in our state (the recipient will remain a mystery until the event!). We will also recognize outstanding students, staff, and faculty whose work strengthens our mission every day.
The banquet also continues a 60+ year tradition that began with the UNL Wildlife Club. Today, nine SNR student clubs and organizations participate, hosting silent auctions that support their activities throughout the year. These student organizations provide invaluable leadership opportunities and hands-on experience, and the banquet is a wonderful way to celebrate and support their work.
I hope you will join us for this memorable evening with the SNR community.
