The University Program Council (UPC) presents two back-to-back shows of hypnotist Jim Wand at 7 and 9 p.m., Jan. 24 in the Nebraska East Union Great Plains Room. This event will be free for UNL students with a valid NCard and $5 for faculty, staff and the general public.
Wand has been involved in the field of hypnosis for more than 30 years and is considered to be one of the most professional hypnotic entertainers in the world today. Wand holds a Ph.D. in the field of psychology and has more than 9,000 professional engagements to his credit, including hundreds of colleges across the United States.
Not only is he famous among the college crowd, Wand has worked with such personalities as Jay Leno, Chris Rock, Carrot Top, Larry the Cable Guy, Sylvester Stallone, George Strait and Rascal Flatts, just to name a few. Wand has also appeared on numerous TV programs including a national FOX special entitled "WOW", Comedy Central and numerous other appearances on FOX, ABC, NBC and CBS.
