UNL will celebrate its 104th Homecoming the week of Sept. 21-27 with a series of events across campus. This year's homecoming will be celebrated under the theme of "125 Years of Nebraska Football." It will culminate with the Nebraska vs. Illinois football game at 8 p.m. Sept. 27 at Memorial Stadium, with the homecoming king and queen crowned at halftime.
Following is a list of events for homecoming week:
Sept. 21, 5 p.m. — 5K fun run beginning in Harper Hall parking lot, 14th Street and Salt Creek Roadway
Sept. 22, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. — East Campus Blood Drive sponsored by the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources and the Community Blood Bank, East Union
Sept. 22, 8 p.m. — Monday Night Live sponsored by Campus Night Life, Coliseum
Sept. 23-25, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. — City Campus Blood Drive sponsored by Campus Red Cross and the Community Blood Bank, Nebraska Union
Sept. 25, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. — Homecoming royalty election online through MyRed
Sept. 25, 8 p.m. — Homecoming concert with Dustin Lynch, East Campus Mall
Sept. 26, 10:30 a.m. — Lawn display competition
Sept. 26, 6 p.m. — Homecoming parade beginning at 16th and Vine streets, continuing south on 16th Street to R Street, then west on R Street to its conclusion at 13th Street; pep rally and jester competition immediately following the parade on the Nebraska Union Plaza
Sept. 27, 8 p.m. — Homecoming football game vs. Illinois, Memorial Stadium; Homecoming king and queen crowned at halftime
