The poster session for the AGRI/NRES 103 "Introduction to Agriculture and Natural Resources" course will take place on Dec. 11 on the first and second floor lobbies of Hardin Hall. There will be three sessions: 8-9:15 a.m., 12:30-1:45 p.m. and 2-3:15 p.m.
The poster session is the culminating project for 383 undergraduates in the class who are exploring issues related to agriculture and natural resources in Nebraska using a framework for using scientific evidence in decision-making (see the course learning objectives below).
For the poster project, student groups ask a "should we…?" question and explore the pros and cons of issues that have both a scientific component and a social (personal, political or ethical) component. We invite you to talk with student groups about the results of their research and their opinions on these issues.
