Mary Bomberger Brown, research assistant professor in UNL's School of Natural Resources and coordinator of the Tern and Plover Conservation Partnership, will present "Global Climate Change, Drought and Breeding Phenology in a Migrant Songbird" at 2 p.m., Jan. 23 in 163 Hardin Hall.
While the applied ecology seminar series began a few years ago, this year the series is joining forces with the geography seminar series, also presented by SNR.
"The applied ecology group started a seminar series a couple years ago to give our faculty and students a chance to showcase their work and invite some local or regional guests," said Larkin Powell, professor of conservation biology and animal ecology. "We share a love of landscapes with the geographers, which is why it made sense to combine our efforts this year."
Seminars in both series are free and open to the public.
