SNR faculty and staff are invited to attend the annual SNR Academic Year Kickoff from 8 a.m. to noon on Aug. 21 in the Hardin Hall auditorium (room 107).
The schedule is as follows:
• 8-8:25 a.m. Refreshments served. This is a good opportunity to introduce yourself and meet new and existing faculty/staff members, while increasing your knowledge and understanding of the many areas and employees who make up SNR.
• 8:30-11:30 a.m. Important information regarding the new academic year will be shared by SNR director John Carroll, as well as Dean Waller and others.
• 11:30-11:50 a.m. Meeting of teaching faculty. Those who teach a course as either a faculty member, lecturer or graduate student need to attend this meeting.
• Noon-1 p.m. SNR Welcome Back Pizza Lunch in the second floor lobby. Pizza will be provided by the SNR Social Committee. The committee asks that everyone please bring something to share (this could be side dishes, drinks and/or desserts). Please sign up at the Nebraska Maps and More desk and indicate what you will bring.
The committee would also like to encourage those individuals who have not yet made a donation to the SNR Social Fund to do so. Donations enable everyone at SNR to enjoy the SNR pizza lunch, birthday bashes, holiday potluck and other fun festivities held throughout the year.
