UAAD offers 'Tech Connect' sessions Oct. 20

A "Tech Connect" workshop organized by the University Association for Administrative Development will feature a variety of tips and tricks on how to best use technology tools. The sessions are 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 20 in the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center.

Speakers will demonstrate how to best use featured tools. Participants will also rotate through several short roundtable sessions with individual speakers.

Admission to "Tech Connect" is free for UAAD members and $15 for non-members. Registration, which is required and available online, is due by Oct. 19.

Presenters and topics include:

• Robin Bowman, Campus Recreation, discussing Asana, an application designed to help teams track their work;

• Andrea Schreiber, Sponsored Programs, discussing Todoist, a to-do list and task manager app;

• Deb Eisloeffel, College of Business Administration, discussing Outlook, the Microsoft-based email service;

• Ashley Kiekhoefer, IANR, discussing OneNote, a digital note-taking app by Microsoft;

• Ranelle Maltas, Information Technology Services, discussing Twitter; and

• Tyler Thomas, University Communications, discussing LinkedIn, a business-oriented social networking service.
