The National Strategic Research Institute at the University of Nebraska is offering a "Transdisciplinary Conversations" workshop from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Nov. 17.
The workshop is part of an ongoing, informal series designed to spur new directions in research and collaboration. The series is open to all NU faculty, staff and students, as well as individuals in the private and nonprofit sectors.
The Nov. 17 event will be held in the University of Nebraska Medical Center's Sorrell Center for Health Science Education (small ballroom), 649 S. 42nd St., in Omaha.
Bob Hinson, executive director of the NSRI and lieutenant general U.S. Air Force (retired), will deliver opening remarks. Ken Bayles, associate vice chancellor for basic science research, UNMC, will also deliver an information talk on work he has been doing with NSRI. The remainder of the workshop will be reserved for networking between attendees. Food and refreshments will be provided.
