UCARE program seeks student applications

Students can apply to be part of UNL's Undergraduate Creative Activity and Research Experience (UCARE) program.

The UCARE program provides opportunities for undergraduates to work with faculty and engage in research and creative activities at UNL. The program is open to full-time undergraduate students who have completed at least 30 credit hours by May 2016. Eligible students can apply for a UCARE undergraduate research assistantship for summer 2016 and/or the 2016-17 academic year.

Summer 2016 applications will be accepted online from Oct. 27 to Jan. 26. Academic year applications will be accepted online from Feb. 9 to April 5.

UCARE will be offering informational workshops about the program that will show you how to:

• identify and select a faculty adviser
• develop a UCARE research abstract; and
• assemble and submit a UCARE application.

Application workshops are:

• Nov. 11, 4 p.m., Nebraska Union
• Jan. 12, 4 p.m., Nebraska Union
• Jan. 13, 3 p.m., East Union
• March 1, 11:30 a.m., Nebraska Union
