Starting Oct. 3, the School of Natural Resources and the Midwest African Museum of Art will be partnering for an afternoon of coffee or tea and African art.
“The idea is to get all of us who are interested in Africa together to share our common interests in the continent,” said John Carroll, director of SNR.
The gatherings will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 3, Nov. 7 and Dec. 5 in the first floor café at the art museum at 1935 Q St., Lincoln. Guests will be able to tour the museum, which includes statues, paintings, housewares and artifacts by African artists.
The museum, which opened in October 2016, is dedicated to preserving, presenting and promoting the rich history of African art, culture and people, which providing program and resources that enrich the Lincoln and Nebraska communities.
