Spearheaded by this semester's Publicity group, the Fall 2021 led the most successful online fundraiser to date. The effort raised $2,055 for The Arc of Lincoln.
For over 70 years, The Arc of Lincoln has been a family-focused, grassroots organization as a resource for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families regardless of their diagnosis and at all stages of life.
The Arc of Lincoln's mission reads: We empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families to promote and protect their rights and interests, while enriching the quality of their lives.
Programs and services provided by The Arc of Lincoln include Housing Opportunities, Advocacy, Arc Expedition Trips, People First of Lincoln, Aktion Club of Lincoln, You Adult Social Club, Social and Educational Trainings for Families, Ability Experience Dance.
Each month The Arc of Lincoln sponsors a social opportunity at no cost to families and individuals who experience a disability. If food is provided at this event as well as an activity, the cost to host this event is around $250. The Arc had a goal to raise enough funds for six months of events. Our class was thrilled to have raised eight months' worth!
