Academic Technologies will provide training opportunities as part of the Learning Series until the end of the fall semester, with the series picking back up in the spring. The Learning Series consists of weekly one-hour training sessions conducted via Zoom. Each session is dedicated to exploring a specific service area from the Academic Technologies service catalog. Below is the upcoming schedule:
- AI Nov. 4, 9-10 a.m. – This Academic Technologies led session will showcase the various perspectives about AI that faculty should consider in determining how to address AI tools in their courses. Presenters will also discuss best practices and recommendations from an IT perspective in using AI. Register online.
- Respondus Nov. 12, 10-11 a.m. – In this session, Rebecca from Respondus will explore how faculty can leverage Respondus LockDown Browser and Monitor to protect exam integrity in and out of the classroom. This session will include a demo of advanced settings, as well as a discussion of best practices. Register online.
- OER Nov. 20, 1-2 p.m. – This session will provide information about how to leverage open education resources and provide options about how to adopt them in your courses. The presenter will provide examples of what OER looks like and a demonstration of how of faculty can sign up for inclusive access. Register online.
All sessions will be recorded and made available online in the Academic Technologies shared folder on YuJa.
