The Spring 2016 Teaching and Learning Symposium to be held on the Innovation Campus will focus on building inclusive classrooms in order to develop productive learning environments. Topics covered in the keynote and all-participant workshop include practical strategies to create identify-safe classrooms through facilitating challenging conversations, designing diverse course content, and promoting awareness of and reflection about diversity. Concurrent sessions will cover motivation and engagement, how to select students for teams--including how to manage teams and assess them, and teaching strategies for flexible as well as inflexible spaces. Please look for more information on the date, keynote speaker and session presenters after the holiday break.
