REDTalks feature undergraduate researchers

The Office of Undergraduate Research invites you to attend our first REDTalk on Thursday, November 10 at 7 PM in the Learning Commons. Five undergraduate researchers from diverse majors will share their research and creative activities through engaging TED Talk-style presentations. REDTalk presenters:

Johnathan Avery will discuss an interdisciplinary study that combines research in educational psychology with the computational modeling systems of computer science.

Jenna Schweiss’s project is working to uncover behavioral barriers that are preventing UNL students from achieving sustainability on campus.

Jazmin Castillo’s project focuses on large carnivore conservation in southeastern Botswana and specifically on an overlooked and often hated species, the spotted hyena.

Alexis Kelly is part of a team of researchers evaluating medicine bottles that were found during the Nebraska City Union expansion to help us understand what medicines were like in the late 1800s.

Nicole Forbes’s research aims to find out if an infant assessment can predict communication impairments between 2-12 months.
