The Nebraska Innovation Campus Development Board unveiled a Nebraska Innovation Campus strategic plan on Feb. 3 that defines the board’s vision, strategic objectives, direction and criteria.
A business plan will be developed to guide the implementation of the strategic plan, NIC executive director Dan Duncan said. He welcomes faculty to review the strategic plan report, at http://innovate.unl.edu/overview_vision.shtml#strategic.
“The plan defines the NICDC Board’s vision for NIC and the outcomes that we want to see,” Duncan said. The vision outlined in the report positions Nebraska Innovation Campus as “a dynamic environment where university and private-sector talent transform ideas into innovation that impacts the world.”
The plan serves as a roadmap to help transform the vision into physical, intellectual, environmental and financial outcomes.
“As we develop specific plans for NIC we can use the strategic plan as a backstop to make sure our plans help create the desired outcomes,” said Duncan.
