Wind Ensemble to perform tonight

UNL's Wind Ensemble will perform at 7:30 p.m. today in Kimball Recital Hall. Tickets, available at the door one hour prior to the performance, are $5 general admission and $3 for students (with valid identification) and senior citizens.

Carolyn Barber, associate professor of music, directs the Wind Ensemble. Members of the ensemble are UNL students of varied majors selected by a juried audition. The Wind Ensemble is the university's premiere concert band. Performances feature 20th-century American compositions. The ensemble is actively involved with commissioning new performance pieces and composers are regularly in residence with the group.
