Only 10 minutes are needed to detect your risk for a stroke. Faculty, staff, and students are invited to four life-saving stroke screenings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 23 in the Nebraska Union and Oct. 24 in the East Union.

Cost is $99 per person and is reimbursable under the Blue Cross/Blue Shield flexible spending account for faculty/staff. Spouses, partners, and family members are invited to participate also.

An pre-arranged appointment is required for each person.

The goal is to alert people of a health risk that might otherwise go undetected. These screenings include personal assessments for:

• stroke
• abdominal aortic aneurysm
• peripheral arterial disease
• osteoporosis.

To schedule your appointment, call 1-877-732-8258. For more information, contact Kaitlin Nelson at 402-472-3410 or knelson26@unl.edu. This program is being coordinated by the UNL Wellness Initiative.
