Algae biofuels event kicks off Research Fair

The 12th UNL Research Fair opens today with the workshop "Forging Partnerships Toward Advanced Algae Biofuels and Bioproducts in the Midwest." The seminar, 1 to 4:15 p.m. in the Nebraska Union Georgian Suites A and B, explores opportunities for biofuels research and provide perspectives from UNL faculty and representatives from industry and Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Featured presenters include Jose Olivares, Los Alamos National Laboratory; Thomas Byrne, Byrne and Co.; and Stephen Emmert, Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

Registration, available at http://go.unl.edu/94s, is required. The workshop is sponsored by the Nebraska Center for Energy Sciences Research and the Office of Research and Economic Development.
