Online and Distance Education is hosting a three-day conference on course redesign for blended and distance courses Nov. 27-29. The "Blended and Distance Learning Symposium" will feature Norbert Pienta of the University of Georgia and Dennis Pearl from Ohio State University. Registration is not required but recommended.
Through the symposium sessions, participants will:
— Interact with faculty who have carried out nationally-recognized course and course sequence redesigns and serve as Redesign Scholars from the National Center for Academic Transformation;
— Lay the groundwork for a redesign;
— Gain experience with specific technology tools supporting effective pedagogy; and
— Learn how to assess the success of redesigns.
