The annual print sale organized by UNL's Fine Art Photo Club is 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 7-8 in Richards Hall, room 121. Refreshments will be available for the First Friday art walk, 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 7. All work in the sale is by members of the club.

Prints in the sale will be unmatted and unframed, but placed in protective sleeves for transport. Photo books, silver gelatin prints, archival pigment prints, as well as alternative process prints will be available. All prints are priced under $60.

”Work in progress” prints donated by 2012 Hixson-Lied visiting artists, faculty, and photography graduate students will also be available in a raffle. Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 tickets for $5. Winners need not be present to win.

The UNL Photo Club is a student organization founded by students in the Department of Art and Art History’s studio art program. The club was formed in 2011 under the advisory of Dana Fritz, professor of art.

Proceeds from the sale support club members’ participation in national and regional Society for Photographic Education conferences. These conferences provide opportunities for students to interact with other students and faculty from around the country, as well as major figures in the field of photography. Students can participate in portfolio critiques, open portfolio sharing, lectures, demonstrations and workshops as well as visits to galleries and museums in the host city. Proceeds also support participation in 16x16x16, an exhibition of student work that travels among six universities and colleges each spring semester.
