EAP offers assistance in wake of school shooting

The Employee Assistance Program is available for faculty and staff who have questions or concerns related to the Dec. 14 Sandy Hook, Conn., school shooting.

"Our doors are open for assistance," said Floyd Sylvester, director of EAP. "We have a person on our staff who works specifically with children. We can offer ideas on how to talk to your children about this tragedy or where to go if you need further assistance."

EAP is a confidential service offered at no cost to UNL employees and their immediate family members. Consultation and counseling are available to help with personal or work-related problems.
