Metro planners seek input from UNL community on travel preferences

The Lincoln Metropolitan Planning Organization works to improve transportation options and seeks the help of the university community. The Lincoln MPO is developing a transportation program to help residents, students, faculty and staff travel around the region.

The purpose of this project is to develop specific strategies and programs to support individual travel choices, and encourage sustainable transportation – such as biking, walking, taking transit, and sharing rides. As a first step in this process, the MPO/Planning Department seeks to better understand current interests, issues, and barriers to using sustainable modes of transportation.

UNL faculty, staff or students have an opportunity to contribute to the future planning of transportation in our city. Please take a minute to complete the “community travel preference survey” by Feb. 1.
