'Shatner's World' plays the Lied Jan. 26

The Lied Center for Performing Arts will present "Shatner's World," featuring William Shatner in a solo larger-than-life performance at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 26.

Shatner has cultivated a career spanning more than 50 years as an award-winning actor, director, producer, writer, recording artist and horseman. He is one of Hollywood's most recognizable figures and a major philanthropist. From "Star Trek" to "Boston Legal," Shatner has entertained generations of television viewers. In this humorous one-man show he will recount his phenomenal path from classically trained Shakespearean actor to modern cultural icon.

Bob Rook, director of Lincoln's TADA Theatre, will lead a 7 p.m. pre-show discussion. The talk, free for ticket holders, will be in the Lied's Steinhart Room. Seating is limited.
