Republic of Georgia delegation visits CEHS

Representatives from the Republic of Georgia are visiting the College of Education and Human Sciences today through Feb. 8. The delegation seeks to discuss assessment practices and uses of assessment measures.

The visitors, all from the McLain Association for Children, are Cathy McClain, Roy Southworth and Rezo Chilchaladze. The association provides support, education and medical care for youth with disabilities from rural Georgia. The McClain Association is creating an information hub that provides public information, training and awareness about youth with disabilities and their needs for Georgia.

McClain will give a presentation about the challenges faced by Georgian youth with disabilities. Her talk, "Educational Opportunities for Georgian Youth with Disabilities: A Rural Perspective," is 10 a.m., Feb. 5 in the East Union's Goldenrod Room. The lecture is open to faculty and graduate students.
